What We Offer
We encourage athletes to achieve their own personal best each week.
Friday night meets from 5:45 in the cool summer nights; under lights on The Gap SHS oval.
Wednesday and Saturday (limited) training with qualified coaches
Tiny Tot Program (for 3-4 year olds)
Graded activities for 5 – 16 year olds
Special events: Pentathlon in 30 minutes, Relays, handicap races
Opportunities for parents and guardians to train as coaches and officials.
Compete in the Metro North Region at Regional Championships
Qualify for State Championships
Enthusiastic management committee
Trophies, Certificates and medals at the end of season presentation.
Who Is It For?
All children who turn 5 to 16 years in the year the season starts, plus a Tiny Tot program for 3 and 4 year olds.
Tiny Tots
This program is for 3 and 4 year old children. There are no times, places or measurements recorded for Tiny Tots. Tiny Tots will receive a registration number and a Tiny Tots arm patch. Uniforms are optional.
Competition.
We conduct a 5 event competition most Friday nights during the season- between late August and March. All our u7 and older athletes are encouraged to attend the Regional Relays and Regional Championships - check the noticeboard for details during the season. These championships are the pathway to State Relays and Championships for the under 9 and older. And there are many meets offered by other Centres - check the noticeboard for the full list.

The cost of registration includes all Friday event nights, Wednesday night (except Tiny Tots) and Saturday (generally under 9 and older) coaching sessions. It also includes fees for State events should the athlete qualify. Refer to the Registration page for all the details and registration portal.
Trial before you Join.
You can compete at two centre meets as a trialist before you need to take a full membership.
Coaching (Optional)
Membership includes coaching on Wednesday evenings for under 6 and older. There is also coaching available on Saturdays both scheduled and in smaller groups, or one on one by request. Our athletes are also welcome to attend the Ashgrove Rangers training nights on Monday and Thursday ($5 fee per session).
